JOSÉ ROSARIO González - Board Member

José Rosario is the President CEO of Seven Rivers Music, Inc., Pig Haus Music,Transl8 Inc., and Latin Groove News. He is an award-winning singer-songwriter, producer, arranger, Spanish vocal coach, and trumpet player. He is also a renowned translator and interpreter, delving into academic translations for school districts in all subjects, administrative and marketing correspondence, and book translations, including the memoir by Selena’s father, Abraham Quintanilla, “A Father’s Dream,” “El Sueño de un Padre,” expertly written in English by Nancy De Los Santos. Currently writing “Poemas y Canciones” and “Behind the Fame.” Recently served as Tejano music consultant for the movie “Say a Little Prayer” staring LUIS FONSI and ANGÉLICA MARÍA, also writing a song “Amante Siempre,” featured in the movie.


His album “Deseos de Amar” includes nine original songs (Hoy vengo a darte las gracias; Ay Amor, Amor; Para qué; Eso Eres Tú; Aprendiendo a Vivir; Cuando te Vayas; Te Perdí; ¿Qué quieres de mí?; and Tiempo Perdido) and the Spanish versión of I’m in the Mood for Love, “Deseos de Amar.” It was produced and arranged by Manny Guerra, who also produced the first albums by SELENA QUINTANILLA.


Previous recordings include “Ahora que te estoy queriendo,” “Buscando Amor” (Spanish versión of “Looking for Love” in all the wrong places), and “San Antonio.” His songs range from passionate rancheras (No era Amor), to soulful ballads (Ni amor, ni compañía), Latin Rock (Tiempo Perdido) to romantic salsa (Rumores) and country ballads (I Shouldn’t be Feeling this Way). BMI© award winning songs for great national popularity (US) include “Amor Perdóname,” “Necesito,” “Pídeme, Ruégame,” and “Una Noche de Amor” (Spanish version of “In the Still of the Night”), the latter notching a #1 on the Latin Billboard charts with Barrio Boyzz.


The music of José Rosario receives airplay worldwide, including Italy, Spain, Mexico, Germany, Israel, China, Colombia, Panamá, Canada, and the United States. Other albums produced by José Rosario: “Amor y Placer” (Fama) and “Se Renta” (Eddie Gonzalez). Also noteworthy, José Rosario served as a music executive for EMI Latin, Sony Discos, and Seven Rivers scoring great marketing and sales success for major Latin acts such as Mexican mega stars Selena, Vicente Fernández, Alejandro Fernández, Ana Gabriel, Paulina Rubio, Alvaro Torres, La Mafia, Eddie Gonzalez, Bobby Pulido, David Lee Garza y los Musicales, Los Palominos, the beautiful Puerto Rican songstress Ednita Nazario, New York’s own the Barrio Boyzz, and most recently the talented Puerto Rican Martín Mendez, Samuel Hernández, Grammy nominated ranchero singer, Manuel Vargas, Shelly Lares’ artists EL GALLO DEZ, ALICIA C, Anikka, Allie Vazquez, and Multi-Award-winning Country and Tejano star URBINA JONES.
