This 54 page book is filled with photos and explanations of the many elements of a traditional Posada, including the words to the song. The Las Posadas tradition was brought to México in the 1586 by Spanish monks who established Las Posadas to help local indigenous people learn more about Christianity. The word "posada' mean "shelter" or "inn", appropriately used here as a re-enactment of the Christmas Story where Joseph and Mary trveled to Bethlahem for the Census and their search for a place to stay.
